Security depends on the loan product. The system may be financed without collateral, charged as equipment or supported by property, deposit, guarantee or another arrangement. Include cleaning, inspection, monitoring, insurance, component failure and possible inverter replacement over system life. Loan tenure should not be stretched merely to make EMI resemble an estimated bill saving. Preserve emergency cash and verify whether savings begin before the first instalment.
P is principal, R is the monthly interest rate and N is the number of monthly instalments. Approximate borrowing cost also includes total interest and applicable fees or charges. A lower EMI does not automatically mean a cheaper loan.
